Our process

How We Work

We take application-layer ownership so your platform stays up, secure, and current.

01

Assess

Codebase, infrastructure, and run-books reviewed; the SLA is agreed before takeover.

02

Onboard

A shadow period with the outgoing partner, access transfer, then monitoring and on-call go live.

03

Operate

Patching, incident response against the SLA, and reporting on agreed metrics.

04

Improve

Quarterly reviews, performance tuning, and a roadmap for the next period.

BEFORE YOU BOOK THE CALL

Common Questions

Yes. Vardot operates the Drupal platform end-to-end. We select and manage the PaaS partner on your behalf, govern the engagement under a written SLA, and stay accountable for uptime, patching, incident response, and reporting.

Yes. Migration to a new PaaS is a scoped engagement: CI/CD reconfiguration, environment-variable mapping, container or build pipeline changes, and DNS cutover. Vardot runs the migration end-to-end. Application code stays portable because we treat the PaaS as a hosting target, not a coupling.

Application-layer incident response is governed by a documented SLA agreed at engagement start. Severity tiers, response targets, and escalation paths are written into the support contract. The SLA is the artifact procurement reviews; the operations deliverables grid is what operations reviews. They are kept consistent.

A Drupal solutions architect, a backend engineering lead, a frontend engineering lead, a DevOps lead, and a project manager. Same people from kickoff through launch. Specialists for performance, security, and integrations join the engagement as the workstreams call for them.

Operations engagements run as monthly retainers sized to platform complexity and traffic profile. The retainer covers application maintenance, monitoring, incident response against the SLA, and a banked allowance for change requests. Out-of-scope projects (a major Drupal upgrade, a new locale rollout, a multisite expansion) are scoped separately. Retainer shape and bank size are set during scoping.
